Japan, China, S. Korea ministers agree to promote tourism

Ministers in charge of tourism from Japan, China and South Korea agreed Sunday to try to hike the number of tourists visits among the three countries to 17 million in five years, up 5 million from the present level. The agreement formed a major pillar of a joint declaration adopted at the first-ever meeting of the ministers in charge from the three East Asian nations, held in Kushiro, Hokkaido.
