LEAD Olympics: Koreas to march together at Olympics ceremony

The athlete delegations of North and South Korea on Tuesday agreed to march together at the opening ceremony of the Turin Winter Olympics. The agreement was made following talks between representatives of both the North and South Korean Olympic committees, the International Olympic Committee and the Turin Olympics Organizing Committee.

The athletes delegations of North and South Korea on Tuesday agreed to march together at the opening ceremony of the Turin Winter Olympics. The two Koreas paraded behind the unification flag featuring the shape of the Korean Peninsula when they marched together for the first time at the Summer Games in 2000 in Sydney. They also held a joint march four years later at the Athens Olympics.

Olympics: Japan's snowboarders test Olympic course

Japanese halfpipe snowboarders got the feel of Turin's extended 150-meter Olympic course with an official practice session on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming Winter Games. ''The halfpipe is great but I got too revved up and my body tensed up a bit,'' said Domu Narita, one of a handful of Japanese boarders aiming to flip their way to glory on the Bardonecchia halfpipe track on Feb. 12 and 13.
