Soccer: Marseille, Basel agree on K. Nakata transfer
January 28, 2006French club Marseille have reached a basic agreement with FC Basel of Switzerland on a transfer of Japan defender Koji Nakata, Marseille said in their official website Friday. Nakata, who is having an unhappy spell at Marseille, had been hoping for a transfer to get more playing time in the run-up to this summer's World Cup finals in Germany and joined training sessions at FC Basel earlier this month.
