Soccer: Japan defender K. Nakata being tested by Swiss
January 24, 2006Swiss club FC Basel may acquire the services of Japanese international defender Koji Nakata, who is having an unhappy spell at French side Marseille, soccer sources said Tuesday. Nakata joined training sessions of the Swiss first-division leaders from last Thursday through Monday and will play in two practice matches scheduled for this weekend to see whether he can secure a contract.
