Japan's M5 rocket lifts off, 3rd satellite launch in 1 month
February 22, 2006The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency launched an infrared ray astronomical satellite onboard an M5 rocket from the Uchinoura Space Center in southwestern Japan on Wednesday, the third satellite launch in Japan within a month. The satellite Astro-F was later put into orbit about 300 kilometers above the Earth, the agency said.
