Armed group claims killed 4 GSDF members in Iraq's Samawah
January 17, 2006An armed group claimed in a statement published Tuesday on its website that it has killed four of Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force troops stationed in Samawah, southern Iraq, when they attacked a GSDF vehicle. The GSDF unit in Samawah, however, denied that the four members were killed, saying Japanese ground troops in Samawah were never attacked and were operating as usual.
