Details behind warrants served on Horie, Kumagai, others

The fresh warrants served on former Livedoor Co. President Takafumi Horie and three other former executives of the company and the arrest of former Livedoor Representative Director Fumito Kumagai on Wednesday are based on the following allegations. -- The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office alleges Horie and the others conspired to inflate the Livedoor group's earnings for the business year to Sept. 30, 2004, by 5.35 billion yen in breach of the Securities and Exchange Law.

Japan police to seek arrest warrants for 2 ex-N. Korean agents

The Japanese police have decided to seek arrest warrants for two former North Korean agents Thursday on suspicion of abducting two Japanese couples in 1978, investigative sources said Wednesday. Sin Guang Su, 79, and Choe Sung Chol (phonetic spelling), will be put on the international wanted list after the Fukui and Niigata prefectural police file requests with the International Criminal Police Organization, or Interpol, they said.
