Military 'restrains' 14 officers over aborted coup plot

The Philippine military on Wednesday ''restrained'' 14 junior officers who allegedly plotted to overthrow President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Lt. Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, Philippine army chief, told a news conference that the officers are now being investigated for their alleged role in the coup plot dubbed ''Oplan: Hackle.''
