China's trade surplus jumps 46.7% to $9.49 bil. in Jan.

China's trade surplus surged 46.7 percent in January from a year earlier to $9.49 billion, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said Monday. The country's exports in January rose 28.1 percent year-on-year to $64.99 billion, while imports increased 25.4 percent to $55.50 billion, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
