Kim's China visit confirmed, Kim sees nuke talk 'difficulties'
January 18, 2006North Korea and China confirmed Wednesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il had visited its major ally, and said that the leader spoke of ''difficulties'' over the six-party talks over its nuclear programs when he met with Chinese President Hu Jintao. The reports by the two countries' official media were the first confirmation of Kim's Jan. 10-18 trip to China, which included a trip to economic boom towns in the country's south and was described by the media organizations as an ''unofficial visit.''
